What makes Carol & Kelly's classes different than other HypnoBirthing® practitioners?
Carol has had 2 successful HypnoBirths of her own at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla. Her experience having only some discomfort with her 1st birth & absolutely no pain with her 2nd birth adds to her ability to teach the material in a way that expecting couples can benefit from. Carol has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work and is a Hypnotherapist. Her many years of experience doing therapy with adults adds to her empathic teaching style. She created a members-only HypnoBirthing® Yahoo group that her class members get to join. Carol posts positive birth stories & other helpful tidbits on her Yahoo group to keep couples motivated & inspired. She posts additional HypnoBirthing®, parenting, and newborn articles in the Files section as well as useful local pregnancy & parenting resources. She had taught over 500 couples including a local OB, physicians, doulas & Labor & Delivery nurses.
Kelly's own positive and gentle birthing experience using HypnoBirthing® bolsters the information she teaches in her classes, providing encouragement for her students. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology as well as a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, which allows her to not only teach the material, but to truly connect with her students on an empathic and emotional level.
